September 27, 2008 9am-7pm Circus Square, Bowling Green KY Information booth opens 7:30 a.m. Opening ceremony, Awards Ceremony 10:30 a.m. Vending begins 9 a.m. Performances begin 11:00 a.m. Festival closes 7 p.m. The new location in Circus Square is 1.5 blocks from Fountain Square. To participate fill out our online application or print the application pdf (Application is for entertainers, displays and vending. There is not a deadline for exhibit/vending space but it is first come basis) Support the International Festival's fundraisers such as the festival Coupon Card and festival newspaper 2008 Poster Contest. The Tibetan Monks joined us in 1998		The Last Saturday in September each year, beautiful Fountain Square Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky becomes an International Paradise of nationalities coming together to proudly share their unique cultures. The festival is a traditional celebration that honors the heritage and diversity among our residents through: Music Dance and Performance Exhibits Demonstrations Authentic Foods Merchandise Vendors
Children are a major part of the Bowling Green International Festival. Though many of our activities are recreational and all are fun, the focus is on education and cultural enrichment. Children will become acquainted with the customs of their counterparts in far away lands through playing their games, adorning their traditional costumes and experiencing how they celebrate. Anyone is welcome to become involved with the planning of the festival by attending our monthly Community Planning Meetings detailed in the volunteer section.
